Swine flu!

This is the latest challenge in my travelling life.  A potential pandemic flu outbreak worldwide, but most prevalent in Mexico and the US.  Guess where I am going next week!  Oh my goodness…
Lets just hope that things don’t escalate too much more.
Busy at work and finding myself having discussions and thinking a lot about work, career, [...]

Oxford Street

I do love the fact, that I have just been clothes shopping for over 3 hours, in Oxford Street…on a Monday night.  A friend from work asked me if I was interested in going, as she wanted to get some tops for work.  2 tops and 3 pairs of pants later.. I think I had [...]

Tate modern

Had a day of culture at the Tate Modern today. I went to see two exhibitions.  Rodchenko & Popova – defining constructivism.  Very challenging (for me) relating to a period of artistic experiment which questioned the fundamental properties of art.  Then an exhibition of the work of Roni Horn, who had very diverse work including [...]

We walked to Soho from Paddington, so a good [...]

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the [...]

Pub quiz

After a busy day at work yesterday, I then got to enjoy a traditional English pub quiz night!  Joined one of my workmates and her flatmates at the Clifton pub, that hosts a weekly pub quiz.
We had some vegetarian taco wraps at their place first and then headed to the pub for a few drinks.  The [...]

Loving the sun

I wonder if I can get a ‘weather reference’ into every post this week. Mignon, if you are reading..this is my challenge, know how you love to hear about the weather in England!  I have just got back from an after work swim.  It was good for about 20mins and then these annoying people got [...]

Cruisy Monday

Was a pretty cruisy day today, our network was pretty much down all day, so restricted what could be done a bit.  At one point it seemed someone pulled a plug out as the whole thing went down, phones and all for about 30 mins!  A joy!  Took a couple of hours in the  afternoon [...]
