Well, the tube strike went ahead, so London has been a transport nightmare. I was pretty lucky going in, found a bus that went from Acton and ended up in Bayswater, so only about a 5min walk from work. Stopped a lot of stops, but was not crowded or packed with people. Took about 40min so ended up at work a bit earlier than usual. This was after my jog, which I have to admit I did have to talk myself into doing as I was nice and comfy in bed when the alarm went off.
Evening was a different story. I went for a walk after work with a friend from work, through Hyde Park and Kensington Park and then ended up in Notting Hill. She went on to drinks in Notting Hill and I tried to find my return bus. Found it, got on, busy, but going in the right direction. 3 stops later and everyone had to get off and change buses. Somehow I managed to change onto the right number, but going in the wrong direction, but not at first, so it had been about 30min before I realised I had done a loop and was going back to where I started! Doh. Got off, waited for next bus and headed back in the right direction, this time, another 30mins or so, so all up took me about 1 1/2 hrs to get home.
Baked beans and toast for dinner cause I couldn’t be bothered with anything else and I feel like chocolate and so didn’t want to go into a shop :0) Due to the strike, most people worked at home so it was sooo quiet and sooo boring, and tommorrow is gearing up to be the same I fear. Oh well. Nearly the weekend – 2 more days. Going to start booking my August travel soon!
